OK, I must start with this one
- BOGIES! - just how did this come about?
It was a game that our producer used to play
in the wings of the theatre that he used to work
at. I (Dom) used to play it at school too. Of
course veing a very bad boy at school we used
to use a different word!
Have you ever gotten yourself into a whole heap
of trouble doing it?
We played it in a motor museum in Italy. They
didn't see the funny side of it and threw us out.
Also Dick got pinned up against the wall by his
throught but the Dad whose kids had just jumped
out of there skin. Very funny looking back. Not
at the time though.
So you've got an album out, and oh look its Christmas,
amazing! From a quick listen it seems that the listener
should get very involved, one for the little kids
to relieve the parents of stress, some of the song
titles though - The Sweary Song - doesn't strike
as being child-like song and The Pants Dance! I
guess you need excellent muscle control for that
one....
Oh no, it's all very innocent. Pants must be put
on the head to do the pants dance though! Of course.........
So Dom, you're a member of the Magic Circle,
whats the best trick you can do?
I'm not any more. Got throwen out for being
a bad boy and showing the secret of a trick on
da Bungalow! Pah!!!!!
Have you ever done any dangerous tricks?
Yeah, remember that show, 'Don't try this at home?'
Well I did a trick with knives. One was real and
the other 5 had blades that retract in to the
handel. The audience had to pick which one they
thought was the real one and the other 5 got stabbed
towards my heart. The last one then got plunged
into a piece of wood to prove it was real.
Dick, I can't leave you out here, would you
ever let Dom saw you in half like in one of those
box things?
He used to when we lived together. He would
practice all these mad illusions in the livingroom.
I would have to hide in these boxes in some funny
old possitions. Odd, very odd.
The album is clearly aimed at young kids, but
it's fair to say you've got a wider fan base then
Barbie-clutching children, my mate has a signed
picture of the pair of you, so this clearly proves
your popularity throughout the ages, how do you
think you manage this?
By being a little bit rude but in a very cheeky
way. The content of the show has many different
levels to it.
As it's Christmas time, what would you buy
each other for Christmas?
I (Dick) always get Dom really nice things
but Dom always uses the 'They haven't got it in
stock' line. Still waiting for about 7 years worth
of gifts to be in stock.
No doubt you play tricks and get on each others
nerves all the time - what are your worst habits?
We don't really get on each others nervs. You
can't afford to when you're working together all
the time.
