Duffy The First Artist To Reach A Million Album Sales

Duffy is leading the way for new UK talent in 2008 with the best-selling album and single of the year so far, new figures released show.
The Official Charts Company said the Welsh singer is set to be the first artist this year to reach a million album sales with Rockferry. The album has spent five weeks at No 1, longer than any other album this year.
The first six months of 2008 have seen debut albums from UK artists make their biggest impact on the charts in the last eight years, the Official Charts Company said.
