50 Cent Faces Custody Dispute

A custody dispute between US rapper 50 Cent and the mother of their 11-year-old son is to go to trial, a judge has ruled.
Judge David Freundlich set an October 22 trial date to settle custody issues between 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins. They have been in dispute for months over their son, Marquise.
Judge Freundlich, sitting in Suffolk County Family Court in Long Island, temporarily granted the rapper visitation rights every other weekend until the trial.
Ms Tompkins blames 50 Cent for a fire that destroyed the mansion where she and the boy were living in Dix Hills, on Long Island near New York City. He has denied the accusation.
