Article published: Mon, 15 September 2008 00:26:16AM
Tracks from the new Oasis album can be heard for the first time, played by a series of street performers in New York on Friday (12th September).
Songs from Dig Out Your Soul where played by individual buskers on a variety of instruments at 14 locations in Manhattan.
The performances replace a scheduled gig the actual band have cancelled at New York's Terminal 5 venue Friday night.
Guitarist Noel Gallagher has not yet recovered from injuries he sustained during an onstage assault in Canada last Sunday (7 September).
Buskers will perform new tracks including 'The Turning', 'Bag It Up', '(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady', and new single 'The Shock Of The Lightning' at locations including Grand Central Station and Times Square.
Dig Out Your Soul is due for release on 6 October.
