Kanye West Slams Twitter
Article published: Thu, 14 May 2009 09:12:16AM
Kanye West has slammed Twitter after an imposter set up an account using his name.
The rap star took to his blog to hit out at the social networking site, writing: "I don't have a f*****g Twitter."
Kanye called on Twitter bosses to take down the user Tweeting under his name and the site responded, suspending the user.
In his post - which was in capital letters - the star revealed he wasn't a big fan of the site, writing: "Why would I use Twitter?
"I only blog five per cent of what I'm up to in the first place. I'm actually slow delivering content because I'm too busy, actually busy being creative, most of the time - and if I'm not and I'm just laying on a beach I wouldn't tell the world."
The Love Lockdown singer went on: "Everything that Twitter offers, I need less of."
Twitter doesn't allow impersonation, but does allow parody impersonations clearly meant as a joke. The site has said it's working to combat the problem of fake celebrity Twitter accounts.
