Hound Dogs - I Like Girls
Don't we all.
Welcome the Hound Dogs, as far as I'm concerned they ain't nothing but. Poor Elvis joke there.
Their debut track 'I Like Girls' has been knocking around for a while now, as with most dance tunes, and Direction Records has scooped it up to turn it into, hopefully, a chart hit.
That might not happen though, 'I Like Girls' is getting its release on December 12th, given the amount of Christmas singles out around that time the track is most likely to not get a look in.
The track is however perhaps marking the end of a great 2005, goodbye to 2005, hello to 2006 and time to have our Christmas rest.
The original version of 'I Like Girls' is a delightful funky track with a relaxed vibe to it, it is the kind of track that would fit well on the soundtrack for the Grand Theft Auto video game series, on one of the old school radio stations.
BUT, once the chorus kicks in it's time to get your groove on, you are instantly hit with a kicking bass and enchanting strings before seamlessly being dropped back down to the verse.
For those of you who find it too 'boring' if you want to use that term there is a fantastic Young Punx remix which I have found myself listening to non-stop for the past week.
The Young Punx remix has much more going on, the chorus still remains the great focus for the track and is sure to fire up any dancefloor without fail.
