Babyshambles - Albion
Lovely, lovely Albion.
Poor Pete (and co), he and his homies have had a bad time in the tabloids, well mainly Pete, but as they say 'all publicity is good publicity', unfortunately though Kate dumped Pete and the tabloids were no longer running articles by the time Babyshambles released the album 'Down in Albion', yet it still managed to enter the charts at #10.
Interestingly Babyshambles chose to release a single two weeks after the albums release rather then use it as a lead-in single for the album.
'Albion' is a stark contrast from 'Fuck Forever' and allows us to hear Pete's writing talent in all it's deserved glory.
With a chirpy track behind it 'Albion' is just as enjoyable as any Libertines/Babyshambles track before it with a strong chorus that draws you in to the washy verses.
'Albion' though isn't something that washes away, and I don't think Pete will either...
