Keedie and the Englang Cricket Team - Jerusalem
The England Cricket Team and Keedie help the needy.
Back in the Summer (sorry, there was a Summer?) an England sports team actually won something, the country went cricket mad as the England Cricket Team regained the Ashes. The event was marked by the song 'Jerusalem', so why not release it in time for Christmas with the help of classical artist, Keedie.
You may remember Keedie from last year when she released a duet with Duncan from Blue which reached #2 in the charts.
Naturally Keedie takes the lead in the track, but the contribution by the team is not a dull as I expected it to be, the track however isn't one that is listenable over and over, it's OK for the odd play but does get rather annoying with Keedie's endearing voice.
All proceeds from the single will be split between three charities:
The Earthquake Appeal, helping those involved in the recent earthquake in Pakistan and India.
A Chance to Shine, which will see cricket getting a push in our schools.
PCA Benevolent Fund, supporting cricketers whose careers have been cut short by injury and other situations.
'Jerusalem' is likely to become a CD people will keep as a momento along with their programme from the Ashes test series.
