Fatboy Slim - That Old Pair of Jeans
Released June 28th.
Fatboy Slim finally bows down to producing to devote his life to beaches.
'That Old Pair of Jeans' is one of two new tracks packaged alongside his greatest hits on 'Why Try Harder?'. Rather unsuprisingly its a greatest hits collection.
It's a bit of a turn away from the lights of 'Right Here, Right Now' and 'Star 69' and pits itself more towards the teritory of 'Praise You', a more mellow offering and gives off the stench of the lack of luster.
Norman still cooks up a 100% listenable track but fails to awaken any dancing muscle in the system and after a while becomes one of the tracks you'd skip past on CD2 of a Now That's What I Call Music release.
That said it does package itself with some cracking remixes of the hits of the past, both Redanka's and Freemason's take on 'Right Here, Right Now' offer a pleasing update along with the Audio Bullys re-working of Star 69.
